The Conca de Barberà boasts ideal natural conditions for the cultivation of grapes and the production of wine. The skill and knowledge of countless generations of growers and makers, which has earned the county its own denominació d’origen, accounts for its excellent range of wines and cavas.

In 1997, the county’s wine cellars established the Conca de Barberà Bottler’s Association, the body responsible for the promotion of the region’s products; their quality guaranteed by the DO status.

Twenty-three co operative groups form the association, including the famed Modernist Wine Cellars, Àngel Guimerà’s “wine cathedrals”.
